My name is Elena Skyhawk and I would like to share with you my goal and life mission:  I am in the process of finding land to build a Spiritual Healing Retreat and Animal Sanctuary, where people will be able to come and learn and grow and heal in a safe and loving environment.  The animals that are abandoned and abused will also be able to find a home on the land with me to heal and hopefully find new loving families to take them, if not they will always have a home at the sanctuary.

This site is called Contemporary Native Healing, because even though I'm native I was not raised traditionally.  I was born on a reservation in South Dakota and shortly after birth I was stolen and sold.  I grew up in a white family far away from my birthright.  I had the ability even as a child to connect with nature and animals.  I also used to have very powerful dreams to the extent that they frightened me.  I had no one to turn to the explain my experiences.

When I was 27 I met my first Spiritual teacher and a whole new world opened to me.  I learned to read the Tarot and how to do Palm readings.  I also found out that I could pick up pieces of paper and "feel" what had happened to the person whose name was written on the paper.  With my teacher's help I learned what those powerful dreams meant and also why I could hear the animals and tree's talk to me.

I moved to AZ in 1999, and my learning became even more intense.  I met my mentor in June of 2000 and the healing really began.  He was a shaman of Mohawk and Hawaiian heritage and taught me many things.  I became a Reiki Master/Teacher, Shaman's Touch Master/Teacher and a LaHo Chi Practitioner/Teacher.  I learned how to do Soul Retrieval, Psychic surgery, started participating in his sweat lodges and also learned more on dream interpretation.  I attended his shamanic training classes for many years and also became a minister in Golden Eagle Ministries International, which he founded.  I became a minister in the International Metaphysical Ministry over the past year and also finished my Master's Degree this past summer.  I am currently working on my Doctorate Degree through the Unisversity of Sedona and hope to have my dissertation finished by late Spring early Summer.

Serge was raised traditional, he learned from his uncle on the Mohawk reservation in New York and he learned Huna (Hawaiian shamanism) from his mother's family.  He transferred his knowledge to me over the next nine years before his death in Oct. of 2008.  I pledged to him that his teachings would continue as well as Golden Eagle Ministries International.  It is my intent to make those teachings available to those who are interested in learning and healing.

At present, this web site is still under construction. I am making an effort to present you with our entire spectrum of offers as soon as possible. At this point I can provide you with information regarding [Workshops, Healing Sessions and Readings). The emphasis of this site is on information and how to contact me.  Eventually I will be adding a place to sign up for a newsletter and a place to add articles that I have written.
